Cyberpunk is back, baby. It’s 2011, and Deus Ex lets you hack, cyberblade, and augmented leap into the next era of human evolution. Deus Ex: Human Revolution (DXHR) is a fantastic game, but if you go into the game without any guidance whatsoever you could end up making decisions you’ll later regret. This doc is intended to give you a few gentle suggestions to ensure you’ll fully enjoy your chosen playstyle and augmentation choices.
I’m still moving into my new place. Can you tell?

Played a little Dragon’s Nest from @nexon today, and once again impressed by that company’s ability to deliver a quality online game. Nice.
Waited months to update my DROID X to #gingerbread because of the glitches. Finally updated to 2.3.3. Its like having a new phone! So. Nice.
Last night, for what I think is the first time in my life, I willingly watched a sporting event from start to finish. Football, even. I generally find Hockey a much more enjoyable spectator sport, but last night I was just in the mood. I blame technology, as I often do for strange decisions I make.
The 360 just released an update to their ESPN software, coinciding with our move to the Cockeysville, MD area. Our new internet service provider offers ESPN3 as part of the internet package we got, so now for the first time I can watch sporting events streaming over my gaming platform of choice. It’s kind of delicious.
Not only was the quality very high for the UW v. UNLV game we watched (#gobadgers), but playing with the software during the game was a lot of fun. We could see other scores from games occuring at the same time, do split-screen with another event if we chose, and were generally able to tweak a lot of stuff. We also set up the ‘My Sports’ section to highlight the things we’re interested in. Giants baseball, college hockey, that sort of thing. Now the 360 will keep track of events we’re interested in, and remind us when one is coming up. As I said: delicious.
Now what I want is the ability to buy ala carte subscriptions to a team or sport’s casts. My wife would really like to be able to watch all of the Giants’ games, something I gather we can’t do because ESPN has only limited access to game broadcasts due to regional sales agreements.
As a result MLB and the Giants will get no money from us. We’ve been cable free for years, and we’re not caving just because there is very small subset of content we’d like access to. Wouldn’t *some* money be better than *no* money, boring cable and baseball executives? I tend to think so.
It’s especially funny to me because of the obvious parallels between sub fees and microtransactions that riles up online gaming communities now.
Anyway, look at me, all old now and watching sports. Who’d a thought?
RT @IGLevine: Best worst voice acting. I am in loves with this man. In loves! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_bx_9QYt7k
If you have not yet checked out Shirtoid, I highly recommend it. Really enjoying awesome shirty action. http://shirtoid.com/
Had an amazing time with the #redfaction armageddon demo on XBLA. Went from ‘interested’ to ‘must buy’ in about 20 minutes. So good!
Wow. @altonbrown has announced he’s retiring Good Eats. Can’t wait to see what he takes on next. :D
Just got back from #Thor. I uhh… I kept waiting for the movie to start. Was still waiting as the end credits started rolling. Oh well.
