Back hurts, tired, but happy to be working on this Friday. Even used to the 100+ degree weather. Hoping the whole day pans itself as well.
Big twitter welcome to @Snafzg, one of the fine writers at Massively and a generally-fine MMO-playing human being.

Congrats to @JoshDrescher and @thatbarnettblok for Mac client for WAR. Plus, podcast for awesome an new event! http://tinyurl.com/lx6pfz
At the docs with Katie. She’s starting a treatment that … cross your fingers … might lead to the end of her headaches! Win!
I created a D&D 3.5 character with a backstory that didn’t survive the first round of the first combat of his campaign. #lameclaimtofame
http://twitpic.com/c1ptw - My Comic-Con treat: stormtroopers!
Listening to NPR as I work, and find it a bit weird that the beers Obama and his guests will be having tomorrow are ‘news’. (Blue Moon win)
IAt work, puppy is apparently in better spirits (though still sleepy), and I’m feeling vaguely hopeful about the day. Baseless optimism ftw!
Quiet night making the dog feel better, working while watching “Live Free or Die Hard”. Plot isn’t as terrible as advertised. Still bad.
The Live Free/Die Hard disc from Netflix skips past Kevin Smith’s scene. Plus, realized saw every big scene in trailers for the flick. Next!
Another vet visit turns up trouble: Liara has mange! Thankfully we caught it early, easily treatable and non-contagious. Froo!
Home early this afternoon, have spent the day resting and catching up with my ladiez. Dog is apparently balding (!), vet tmw. Welcome home!
At the airport, waiting on our flight. Really really looking forward to being home.
Fear unfounded. Dinner was pretty awesome. Looking forward now to home, hearth, and puppy.
At a restaurant with the SOE folks. It’s late in the day and we’re almost the only folks here. Not super-promising.
And the booth is already half-gone. Comic-con officially over!
Last day at the booth demoing DCUO. Just a few hours left at my first comic-con.
Got toys today because, well, its fucking comic-con. Coworkers, wife will be pleased. Walked off with two lil’ stormtroopers for my desk.
Yesterday got to talk the game over with @mforbeck. Also just missed chatting with @thatbarnettblok. Hoping I can make up for missed opps.
At an SOE DCUO event. Have to sit up front. The first time I’ve been to a general fan event, actually.
A mob of people around Stan Lee just stopped me from getting to the bathroom. #onlyatcomiccon
Most of the food I’ve eaten the last three days has been pretzel-based. This has upsides and downsides.
Wandering the hall, enjoying costumes and chaos. Celebs seen so far: ving rhames, felicia day, seth green. Hoping I can spot @donttrythis.
Just had my second guy this week come up and thank me for all the podcasts and writing I’ve done. I won’t lie, that felt good.
Out of the booth for an hour. I wonfer what I’ll do … Oh what’s that? Dragon Age you say? Don’t mind if I do!
Dragon Age is pretty much exactly what I wanted it to be. Even enjoyed it on the 360. Really looking forward to October 20th.
Back at the booth. Starbucks sold me a moldy cranberry muffin this morning. Guess they’re trying to help innoculate me against confluenza?
Happy to be done for the day. Tomorrow’s my longest day on the line. Grabbing food, probably calling it early night. So the rockstar.
Taking fifteen minutes to not talk. Have I mentioned how much I like water? People seem to really like the game. It’s neat!
At the booth, #5201, come say hi!
Morning walking the floor. Liked playing Republic Heroes more than I expected. Love me some Clone Wars.
Ohthankyoujeebus I love this restaurant. Margaritas, sushi, and fish for dinner. San Diego loves me.
End of preview day. I think that went okay. Got heckled and everything.
Just talked for two hours straght. Ow.
Lunch at an irish pub. Mentally playing Fallout 3 for some reason today. ‘I like Bananas’ stuck in my head.
More booth setup today, lots of awesome on the show floor. Obvious to me that I’d already be dying if it wasn’t for daily dog walks.
Mocha and the Journal in the hotel lobby isn’t a bad way to start the day. Might get away from work here for a bit this morning.
There are no strippers at San Diego’s ‘the Strip Club’ restaurant. There are, however great steaks.
Walked past an empty penny arcade booth, a giant mech, a huge he-man, and life-sized clone wars-style star wars characters.
On the show floor, lots of cranes/boxes. Comic-con in creation.
Driving into the downtown SD area. Sorry, love the ocean more than the desert. Ships, sea air, and freaking aircraft carriers.
About to queue for my flight to comic-con. Already miss my girls. Pup knew something was up when I left this morning.
Officially moved into my new desk area. I’ve built a little fort for myself behind MMO Collector’s Edition boxes (AoC, WoW, LotRO, etc).
http://twitpic.com/b0kvd - My desk/wall o MMOs.
I and my comrades are moving desks today, and tomorrow morning I hop a plane to San Diego. Feels like a wackily non-standard week.
.@jonshute Glad Old Republic isn’t cutting edge graphics. Who needs that? Art style + storytelling ftw.
