Prepping for Trivia, then heading to @scarybug and @mysecretsquid’s lair for New Years socializing. Plan to have my Flip in tow.
My IRL friends are having a discussion about sexcapades that involves crazy straws and lots of @ symbols. I love my friends.
Ever since “bang really loud inside soup pots” became ‘immature’, New Year’s Eve has completely lost its appeal. Plus there’s the guilt.

Yesterday whoisdialogue played The Lord of the Rings Online, BioShock, and Team Fortress 2 on PC for 1:49 total. I did just a little bit of crafting in LotRO, clearing out some last resources I had on the block. BioShock is a game I’ve yet to complete on the PC; I finished it on my 360 and decided I’d probably have a lot more fun with in mouse/keyboard style.
I’m not wrong, but...

Yesterday whoisdialogue played The Lord of the Rings Online on PC for several hours. Put a ton of time in Grodimil, my Dwarven Guardian. The Podcasters’ regular night consisted of burning through most of Book 2 of the main quest and a bunch of sideline questing. Also did a metric ton of crafting. We have big plans for next week!

How did I do, 2008? →
A year ago, at the close of 2007, I threw out some prognostications about the coming 12 months. Those months have now passed and it’s time to pay the piper. Just as with last year I’m going to…
To continue my LotRO-focused twittering: Made 25 tonight on my Guardian with the regular Monday group. Feel like a tiny Dwarven god.

I don’t want to overstate this, but I think I’ve found a home. Being a stalwart Dwarven warrior/armor craftsman is awesome.

Yesterday whoisdialogue played The Lord of the Rings Online on PC for 3:01. That entire time was spent in-game with the Podcasters of Bree getting a jumpstart on our usual Monday run. We tackled some awesome content in the North Downs area, taking on the bad woodland critters in that neck of the woods.
Big accomplishments tonight crafting armor, inscribing runes of yore into white-hot metal in Middle-earth. I’m a smith!
Fought through my illness to play LotRO with the team. Awesome night of gaming.
blug. Woke up still feeling not-so-hot. Vitamin C and lots of sleep seems to be working to defeat this creature, but still suffering.
Played Fable 2 with Katie as her henchhusband and had a blast. Online henching may suck, but two-person-on-one-couch is great!

Katie and I are rocking a Badger Hockey game. UW vs. Alabama-Huntsville!
Woke up late and not feeling well today. Wonder if it has anything to do with the kid that leaned over and coughed on me Christmas Day?
Just found out via @pvponline that Hulu is tweeting @huludotcom. You guys are doing good work over there. Keep it up!
Steam Sale through Jan. 2nd
As if you needed another reason to love Steam, they’re having a massive sale through January 2nd. I finally bought Fallout 3 and Spore with some Christmas money. I also picked up a few other goodies while I was in the browser, snagging stuff I just couldn’t be without anymore.
It’s official: I’m no longer buying PC games through any means besides Steam. It is the ultimate...
My, my, my. So this is what relaxing feels like. Can’t say I quite remember it all that well.

Would folks toss me their PlayStation Network ids? Mine’s ‘whoisdialogue’. Got LittleBigPlanet yesterday and I’ve been loving it so far! :D
Home after a very long day. Fun to watch the in-laws play Wii sports. Lots of photos and video to parse. Back to work tomorrow.

Eggplant + onion + red peppers + olive oil + salt + pepper + sheet pan roast 45 minutes at 350 + 1 tbs. tomato paste/food processor = num!
Of course, I’m a lot better cook and peeler than I was then, but the memories are still really strong. Managed to only cut myself once.
Had fun peeling potatoes and an eggplant for Crimmas dinner. Fond memories of doing same at my grandmother’s place years ago.
Done w/presents, mostly. Mino, Wall-E, Gears 2 highlight.

As you’ve probably noticed, not only have I been straying from World of Warcraft to play Lord of the Rings Online, but EverQuest II as well. Heading back to Norrath was probably a foregone…
